The other night I went out to Babies R Us and purchased Gentle Care for cradle cap, a hair wash designed for cradle cap. As I was washing Ryan's hair I squeezed a small amount of the shampoo into my palm and begin to work it into Ryan's scalp. After a few seconds, I didn't see any foaming or bubbles forming, so I decided to pour a little more in to my palm and work it into Ryan's scalp. After that, I started squeezing more out of the bottle and rub it into Ryan's scalp. After a few minutes of trying to get the shampoo to bubble and foam, it finally hits me. That maybe this shampoo isn't suppose to bubble and foam. I quickly rinsed out and washed Ryan's hair with his normal Johnson & Johnson shampoo. After his hair dried, his hair became a greasy mess. It looked like I didn't bathe my son for days. I was horrified and embarrassed that my son had to walk around looking like this. What made me cringe the most is the fact that I had to take Ryan to get his haircut later on, my first thought was, "What is the hair stylist going to think?"
After procrastinating on whether or not I'm going to take Ryan to get his haircut, I finally did, and I thank God I did. I took Ryan to this cute salon, specifically for babies, toddlers and kids. It's called Pigtails and Crewcuts a Creative Salon for Kids. The minute I walked in, I was very impressed with the decorations, the open layout of the salon and the amount of toys and activities they have for children of any age. The salon was brightly colored and even the salon chairs had it's own special flair to it. Shaped like a fire truck, airplane and a police car. I had the stylist Jamie for Ryan and I honestly loved the way she worked with Ryan and the cut she gave him. Even my ex loved Ryan's new haircut! In my opinion, Pigtails and Crewcuts will be Ryan's go to place for his haircut. I love everything about the place, the stylist and Ryan's haircut.

We also made a trip to see my friend at Dots, she has recently been promoted to manager in training and is now working at a high volume sales Dots. The store that she's at now is huge and beautiful. She also told me to apply for the assistant manager position there, since they are looking for one this holiday season. I've put some thought into it and figured out how am I going to fit that, my serving job and being a mother all in one schedule. I guess I'll apply, and pray about it. If it was meant for me to get the job then I'll be more than happy to accept it.
After the visit we drove out to Fairview Park to go to Westgate Mall. It was my first time there and I have to say it's a pretty nice outdoor mall. I've never been there before, and I made a note to myself that I should visit the West side more often. We made a stop at the Carter's store to pick up a few last items for Ryan to complete his winter wardrobe, I would have loved to walked around the mall, but I was pressed for time, and it was a little chilly outside.
Today was a good day today, and I'm glad that I was able to get most of my errands done today. Had the chance to visit Ryan's Godparents and Godsister.Tomorrow is wing night at the Lube, and Ryan will be spending the next few days with his dad for the Thanksgiving holiday, so I'll be baby free. The girls and I are planning to go out for a an hour or so on Thanksgiving Eve after bible study, in which I think it will a fabulous time out with the ladies!
