We Hit A Milestone!

Thank you Jesus for blessing and watching over our little Ryan. On October 10th, 2009 Ryan James, "RJ" turned one years old. I can't believe that my little man is growing up. He's now starting to walk more often and also is more active, which means less nap time. I think he only sleeps for about 15 minutes and then wakes up. On his bad days he could sleep for two to three hours. This past weekend my family and I gave him a small birthday party at my parent's home. My grandparents also decided to give him a blessing ceremony, which was a beautiful affair. I enjoyed every minute of it, even though we hit a few bumps along the way with my ex and my family. The point is that my ex showed up and although it may be only an hour, it's better than not showing up at all I guess. Here are a few of my favorite photos from Ryan's party.

Rj's First Birthday Party! Good Times!

Work is going fantastic! We recently been promoted to a three table section so I'm making a few more extra bucks. Even though I applied for part time, I'm working there full time, which I don't mind. Lord knows I need to make some money to support my son and I. Today was all you can eat wings night, it sometimes can be a good and bad thing. The good is that you automatically get an 18% gratuity added to the bill. The bad is that you can have a table sitting there for hours, eating as much wings as they possibly can. I honestly believe that people would overeat, just because they can for one low price of $11.99. It's so time consuming, but I don't mind working Tuesday nights.

Today Rj and I have a busy day. We have a church meeting this afternoon, I'm finally found an apartment, and I have to put down my deposit today. We have so many errands to run and things to do that I hope we have enough time to do it all before bible study tonight. I know I haven't updated in a few weeks or so, but I'm really going to try to keep up with my blog. Trying to get this whole work, mother and school balancing act is hard, it's been a long and crazy journey, but I'm slowly starting to find my balance. I'm blessed and I thank you Lord everyday for another day to live and another day to make things right in my life as well as for my son. Amen!
